We had a great experience with Lloyd at Colonial Granite. He really knows his stuff and is honest and will tell it to you straight. Unlike some of the other places in Richmond that we visited. Lloyd and his team handled my small project perfectly. Needing a custom counter for my half bath, i reached out to them with my own measurements and an idea. Lloyd worked with my crazy hospital schedule to get this done. By phone or email, he was fast to respond. Picking out a piece of quartz was simple and quick, yet i never felt rushed as he showed me every piece and was patient with me. He even came out to measure himself and picked up my sink for the Final Cut. Turn around time was speedy. The craftsmanship of the final product was beautiful. The saying “you might as well do it, rather than pay someone to mess it up” never applied to this team. I would recommend Colonial Granite & Quartz Countertops to anyone in the area and would use them again.

I highly recommend using colonial granite and quartz if you are thinking about buying new countertops. I want to say that honesty is the best virtue when it comes to running a business. Lloyd had priced some remnant pieces for my outdoor bar that I had built. He sent detailed pictures and I made the trip to check them out in person. I was going to be transporting the countertop myself and had picked out one to purchase. I had already paid the money and thought it was a done deal. Lloyd found a crack that wasn't visible to me and told me he couldn't sell it to me because it would probably crack. He honored his price and sold me from a slab that was even better than the one I had originally purchased. I could have easily bought the remnant piece that was cracked and because I was transporting myself if something happened it would have been impossible to know when or how it happened. I appreciate that he went to this length to make sure I was getting a quality piece of stone. Don't hesitate to buy from them. Top notch over there!

I used Colonial Granite for an apartment renovation and the entire process was effortless.I worked with Lloyd, to select a slab for fabrication. He quickly came and measured and the countertop was put in in less than 1 week. It looks terrific. I would give them 10 stars if I could! I would highly recommend Colonial Granite, I wouldn't use anyone else. We had a complex kitchen project, involving a full height backsplash in an old house. Not only did Colonial Granite have the best price and selections of slabs around, they also had the most skill of any granite company we've used in any of our projects. Lloyd and his team are fantastic, we can't thank them enough for their great work. When I was speaking with one of the employees looking at slabs, he said that some of them are like works of art, and he's absolutely correct -- they know stone like no one else. I highly recommend Lloyd and his team, you won't go wrong!

Robbie was our guy. He was not just helpful with the process but gave me lots of detailed information about the stones, the color variations, fabrication and down to selecting edges for my countertops. He even assured us that we didn't have to be mathematicians to give him rough estimates. The day of installation the crew arrived 20 minutes early, laid protection down over my floors and were professional, courteous and neat. First off, their team was incredibly nice to work with (particularly Jennifer - she was great!). We had huge delays in our project and they were incredibly accommodating in reserving and holding our slabs until we were ready. They are quick to communicate, and very easy to work with. And maybe most importantly, they did a really nice job with the install. The seams, cuts, edge profiles, etc. are all top notch. Wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.

Worked with Loyd who listened to my goals and did not try to sell me things I did not need, was accurate in the dates and times and his installers are top notch. I spoke with many granite contractors and most had the same cheesy sales pitch. Wish I used them from the start , call them as you will be very happy you did. Will upload photos soon.

After a bad experience with another company, a friend recommended Colonial Granite. I will be forever grateful that they did.Every person I worked with was knowledgeable, helpful and kind. And, when the original stone I selected was not available, Lloyd jumped into action. Looking at options with Lloyd was great - he knew the right places to go and had specific options in mind. We accomplished more in 90 minutes than I did in two sessions with another company. In addition, he cut the stone and had it installed in less than one week. His on-site team was great.Every once in awhile you find someone who goes above and beyond - this is Lloyd and his team. I called to inquire about a small piece of granite for use in decoupling my 3D printer- an odd request. Jennifer answered the phone and was very helpful, and very generous. I am not a stranger to renovations. In fact, I've sweated through several countertop revitalization projects. For some reason, they can be fraught with issues from template to install.I had an amazing experience with Colonial Granite. Kristi, our designer and rep was professional, communicative, responsive and extremely helpful when I honestly just couldn't make up my mind. She took the time to get to know me and our style. Then we went on a road trip and she patiently walked through every aisle while I touched and photographed slab after slab. (She even went back when I had selector's remorse.)In the end, we got an out-of-the-box, dazzling slab of soapstone that makes me now want to redo every other countertop in the whole house. (The burden of one beautiful substrate can make the rest of the home lackluster.)When we decided the old stove was just too hideous to be nestled among the new countertops, they came back and helped us finish it out so that the new one blended perfectly. What company does that???These guys do.To me, a customer who's experienced a litany of bad service in this industry, I was BLOWN AWAY by the accountability, customer service and quality demonstrated by Colonial Granite. I've already recommended them once already and I plan to do it every chance I get.

I worked with Wes and Rolvin to have a custom marble top made for a dresser I was turning into a vanity. They more than delivered. I am just so happy with the end product! On top of that, everyone I spoke with and worked with was super nice and polite. I cannot recommend them enough!
